Haul: Korean makeup products (Etude House and The Face Shop)

Hello~~ This is my first official blog post, and I'll kick it off with a beauty haul!  \\^o^//

I've been watching some Korean makeup reviews from Sunnydahye and Oiseau88 on youtube as well as researching some new products on various beauty blogs. Being an Asian beauty product lover, I had to order some of these to try out from eBay, my favorite stop for Asian cosmetics and skincare.

Here are the items I picked up! Will probably reviews these later~

Let's start with Etude House shall we?
First up is the Etude House Sweet Recipe Cupcake All Over Color in Peach Sugar Cake. Apparently this is f(x) Sulli's pick!

As you can see, the packaging is absolutely adorable! I swear, Korean cosmetics companies have a way of selling their products through packaging. How can you refuse this stuff?!?! *o*

Juicy peachy coral shade :)

 

The cupcake all over color is meant to be a multi-purpose product used for the cheeks, lips, and eyes. I've heard that it works the best as a cream blush~

Here are some more sweet goodness for you guys :D

Next up is another one of the Sweet Recipe line: Dear My Jelly Lips-talk in color JPK004.

This jelly-textured lip stick has been the rave of fellow Asian bloggers and I can see why! I first saw this in a video with Jen from frmheadtotoe on youtube and this lipstick looked so beautiful on her <3

Finally, the last of the Etude House haul is the famous Nymph Aura Volumer in #3 Transparent. This is known to be the secret of the "Korean dewy and radiant skin" and has been around for quite a while now, so I'm sure you guys have seen this here and there.

Yayyy, now on to The Face Shop products!!!

The Face Shop Face it Radiance Dual Veil Concealer has also been raved recently by many Korean beauty bloggers. I was introduced to this by Sunny from sunnydahye on youtube. She raved about this. So of course, I had to try it out for myself (being the huge concealer/base makeup junkie that I am). :P

I bought the shade in NB23 (the darkest shade in the line) because Sunny uses NB21 (she looks a lot paler than I am). After getting it and trying it out on my face, the cream stick end of the concealer was too dark and orange for my NC25 face :(. The liquid end is a nice match for my face but a little dark for my undereye area >.< Definitely gonna recommend the NB23 shade for NC30-NC35 peeps out there! 

Kinda disappointed.. should have picked up the NB21 shade. But anyway, here are some photos~

Compared to Etude House, The Face Shop packaging is much simpler and sleeker.

Last but definitely not the least is The Face Shop Aura Color Control Cream in shade 02 Natural Beige! What's up with these companies using the word "Aura" in their products??

Honestly, this is the product that I was the most excited about. My first CC cream! I saw this in Sunny's CC cream review video, where she claimed that this is one of her favorites out of the bunch she reviewed. So excited to test this! Look forward to a review/comparison post coming up~~~~

The packaging is rather bulky, but that's expected.

Interesting packaging huh? All you have to do is push down the button and the cream comes out from the hole in the middle (sealed in the picture below). The entire surface can then be used as a palette for dipping your foundation brush or blending the CC cream with something like the Etude House Nymph Aura Volumer for the extra glow!

This looks like fun hehe~

Oh, btw I am expecting another package to arrive soon. This time, it's all skincare items! So I guess another haul is coming up... ehh.. need to stop spending so much monayyyy.

Simply Zee: A New Beginning

I've never been very consistent when it came to blogging, but as a student, my motivation to blog somehow fades little by little with every upcoming project and exam. Honestly, I do have a lot to talk about and share with my readers, but it takes a lot of time to sit down and write. How do you student bloggers do it?! Nonetheless, I do really admire you guys.

As somewhat of a perfectionist, I am a firm believer in quality over quantity. When I do blog, I make sure that my post is presentable and informational without being too boring.

Anyway, enough blabbing for now. I hope to do better this time with my blog!
